Online: Cooperative and participative learning: the concept of study circles in Sweden

Lisa and Hanna introduce us to Studjefrämjandet, one of the largest study associations for adult education in Sweden for non-formal learning.

In this talk we especially focus on the concept of study circles: The concept is bringing together small groups of people who wish to study together on their own initiative. The group draws up a common study plan and sets objectives for the subject they have in mind. Hanna und Lisa give us insights into the concept of study circles and their variety, the role of a study circle leader, how to keep going and "survive" as a group and how Studjefrämjandet accompanies these groups to achieve their learning goals.
